Exactly what I wanted

I wanted something that would be low overhead and track my history so if I ever had a question about where I was and what time it was, I would have it.

This app fits the bill. I set it so every 10 minutes it checks cell data to see if there is a tower change. No tower change, no report and no GPS. So there is next to no battery drain. But you can be super aggressive and start the GPS every minute if you want (and force use of GPS). But I wanted just rough location (it will use the GPS when you move outside a cell tower region). Lots of ways to configure the power usage.

I confirmed that even if you kill the process and restart your iphone it will start up again when you change location exactly as described in the FAQ.

Support was AWESOME too. I sent in a question on a Saturday and had a response in an hour or so.

I couldnt be happier. Buy this.
